Hiromi Itō has written more than ten collections of poetry since her debut in the late 1970s. Her works include Oume (Green Plums), Watashi wa Anjuhimiko de aru (I Am Anjuhimeko) and Kawara Arekusa (Wild Grass upon a Riverbank). She is also the author of numerous essay collections as well as works of prose. She is the winner of the Takami Jun Award.
